Project name: Riverside Park

Riverside Park was delivered on a former brownfield site with a riverside setting alongside the Great River Stour. As is typical for brownfield regeneration sites, enabling would have included site clearance, removal of contaminants (if present), and topsoil stripping. Formation levels were established to support reinforced concrete and/or masonry foundations for multiple residential blocks and townhouses. A foul and surface water drainage system was installed in coordination with statutory undertakers and designed to integrate with the riverside context and local flood risk policy, as required by planning conditions in a Flood Zone location. Substructure works prepared the footprint for the residential buildings, including ground beams and slab base preparation, and enabled subsequent construction of the superstructure. The public realm and site infrastructure were also formed around the river edge to connect with existing urban fabric and improve access.
